Cambridge Retirement Communities has announced the closure of several senior living homes in Pennsylvania, including its Big Beaver and Brighton Township locations. Priority Health Care, the third-party manager for Cambridge Retirement Communities, confirmed the decision, although a final closing date has not yet been provided.
Residents at Cambridge Pointe Senior Living informed WPXI that they were given only a few weeks to find alternative living arrangements. “As the third-party management team for the Cambridge Retirement Communities, we deeply regret the ownership’s decision to close the Cambridge Retirement Living communities,” Priority Health Care said in a statement.
The closure will impact several locations across the state:
•Cambridge at Corry
•Cambridge at Creekside (Charleroi)
•Cambridge at Ebensburg
•Cambridge at Falls (Big Beaver)
•Cambridge at Hillside (Charleroi)
•Cambridge at Pointe (Brighton Township)
•Cambridge at Riverview (Larksville)
The statement continued, “Our primary focus is to support our dedicated staff and assist our residents in finding new homes. We are committed to ensuring a smooth transition for all affected individuals, collaborating with healthcare professionals and families to maintain continuity of care. We appreciate the community’s support during this challenging time and remain dedicated to the well-being of our residents and employees.”
While the exact number of residents affected remains unclear, Priority Health Care emphasized that staff members are continuing to care for residents and assisting families during the relocation process. The Pennsylvania Department of Aging and Ombudsman representatives have also been notified and are providing resources to help families during the transition.
