Holiday Walnut Woods

Monthly rent at Holiday Walnut Woods bundles most household costs into a single bill, which is the main draw for adults who are tired of juggling repairs, groceries and utility payments. The community sits at 35 North Walnut Street in Boyertown and offers independent living only. It is operated by Holiday by Atria, the independent-living rental brand of Atria Senior Living, and residents rent private apartments.

Rent covers the apartment, chef-prepared meals 3 times a day, housekeeping and linen laundering, scheduled local transportation, maintenance of the building and grounds, basic utilities and a daily events calendar. Phone, cable and internet may cost extra. Common areas have been updated, and a game room has a billiards table, a shuffleboard table and a large-screen TV for gatherings.

Holiday Walnut Woods keeps a daily events calendar, and the game room gives neighbors a regular place to meet for billiards, shuffleboard or a show on the big screen. Families comparing options can ask for the current calendar and join a scheduled activity during a visit. Visiting at different times of day gives a fuller picture of daily life.

Care and medication management are not included in the rent, so families should ask what happens if a resident needs daily help later and whether outside caregivers can come to the apartment. A specific apartment is only held once a deposit is paid. Compare costs and services with other choices in senior living in Boyertown.
